Before becoming pastor at CBC, he served for four years in Tupelo as a family pastor. He has degrees from Blue Mountain Christian University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is also pursuing a degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Page Thorn, and they have two children.
